Weyland Ventures is leading the adaptive reuse of the historic Jefferson County Fiscal Court Building, transforming the underutilized 10-story former government office into 106 residential apartments in the heart of downtown Louisville.

Originally constructed in 1938 with a 1956 addition, the Art Deco landmark is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Metro Louisville Local Landmark. The $28 million redevelopment will convert approximately 89,000 square feet of office space into a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

The project will preserve historic architectural features while modernizing building systems for energy efficiency. Amenities will include shared spaces, tenant storage, a fitness room, and a live-work unit. Supported by historic rehabilitation tax credits and public-private investment, the redevelopment advances Louisville Metro’s goals of sustainability, housing creation, and revitalization of the Civic Center district.
